Washington Spirits Forward McKenna Morris Hosts Celebrity Golf Tournament for Two Charitable Organizations

“Sugar” Shane Mosley, Croix Bethune, Lennox Lewis, Brian Mitchell and others head to the greens to support to organizations committed to empowering girls and cultivating future female leaders

ROCKVILLE, MD (October 1, 2024) – The Leonard Sports Management “Women Empowerment” Celebrity Golf Tournament presented by Sugar Ray Leonard Jr and hosted by Washington Spirits Forward McKenna Morris takes place on October 21 at the prestigious Lakewood Golf Course.

Driven by mission, celebrity athletes, community leaders, and golfers from across the country to support Community Bridges and the Lady Lions of Baltimore. Both organizations are committed to empowering girls and cultivating future leaders in the community. Just Love, a member of Community Bridges attributes her confidence and opportunities in education to the organization.

The Leonard Sports Management “Women Empowerment” Golf Tournament offers an impressive lineup of celebrity guests including Olympic Gold Medalist. Croix Bethune, MLB legend Johnny Damon, former NFL stars Brian Mitchell and Marshall Faulk, former professional boxer Shane Mosley, pioneering female football coach Jen Welter, MLB veteran Mike Devereaux, and former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis.

Proceeds from the event will directly support both Community Bridges, a Silver Spring-based nonprofit organization that empowers young girls through leadership development, and The Lady Lions of Baltimore, an initiative inspiring and supporting young women athletes. By participating, attendees will directly support programs that equip young girls with the skills, confidence, and mentorship needed to succeed in education, athletics, and life.
