WASHINGTON (September 14, 2021) - The 3rd Annual Private Chef Week celebrates award-winning and emerging culinary artists with a series of curated events across the District.
Each chef-driven event showcases a culinary artist, food and beverage producer, or expert in the hospitality industry. The series has also been well-received by restaurant partners including Swahili Village, The Carolina Kitchen, Coffy Cafe, and The Uncaged Chefs. Notable local faces from Discovery Family’s Buddy vs Duff, Holiday Wars, and Candy Land will also be in attendance including social media influencers.
This year, Private Chef Week in partnership with Chef X Concepts will focus on their mission to E.A.T. A message that resonates strongly with their nonprofit partner, The Green Scheme. The mission is 3 fold: build positive Experiences within their community, improve Access to healthy foods by investing in small businesses, grants, and resources. And lastly, leverage Technology in a way that will help stimulate the economy and create more jobs.
This year, foodies have a chance to attend a number of events including The Kickoff Brunch - a private chef tasting experience. Convos with Culinary Artists features Cullen Gilchrist (Union Kitchen), Damian Brown (The Uncaged Chefs), Mr. Bake (Mr. Bake Sweets) and others. Finally the Closing Dinner culminates the series with 3 chef-driven menus including Caribbean, El Salvadorian, and American Southern cuisines. Each uniquely designed event will feature the District’s unsung artists at every stage of the food and beverage ecosystem.
This year a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit The Green Scheme, a nonprofit organization bridging communities and resources to empower youth to live healthy and sustainable lives.
